Food for the Soul is thrilled to partner with Texas Motor Speedway's Speeding to Read program. We know that children have a multitude of needs to be successful in today's world, from learning to read to having enough food to eat outside of school hours. When we all work together, every child among us and every community around us can thrive and reach new heights.

Through this partnership, we will be feeding children facing food insecurity at Diamond Hill Elementary School of the Fort Worth ISD. Diamond Hill Elementary School has nearly 600 students, and a majority of them participate in the free and reduced lunch program at school. We would love to help these precious students by enrolling each and every one of them in our Backpack Program so that they will receive free nutritious meals and snacks every weekend throughout this entire school year. Without our help, these children could go 65 hours without food every weekend.

We are asking churches, businesses, community organizations, and individuals who are interested in helping to show love to the students of Diamond Hill Elementary through our Backpack Program to make a donation today. It doesn't cost as much as one might think! A $5 donation will feed a child for an entire weekend, and $180 will feed a child every weekend for the entire academic school year.

There are 657 students at this school, which means in order to provide each of them with food for the weekend throughout the entire school year, we need to raise $118,260. With your help, we WILL eliminate childhood hunger at Diamond Hill Elementary.
